=Sleeper hit of the year
from what I've seen so far. It's nice that they tried to revive Bionic Commando, but the game just isn't looking good (at this point). Hopefully, they dramatically overhaul the gameplay engine.
Persona 4 (or any SMT game)
White Knight Story (or any Level 5 game)
so more people can end their indecisiveness and start enjoying high-def movies. I can't even watch regular DVD anymore.
Not that I had anything against HD-DVD, I just didn't own a player. Transformers on blu-ray would be a godsend. I had to buy it on DVD and was wishing the entire time that I could have been watching it in high-def.
definetely looks like it's going to be
the new next-gen Dragon Ball game than I am about SF4 honestly. But, since Street Fighter has never really let me down in the past I'll definetely throw down money for a copy on launch day. I hope they refine the art style a little bit - looks a little bit odd IMO.
Oh, and Crimson Viper...could be a cool character, but definetely not Akuma cool.
I'm glad I bought a PSP Slim.
I remember really hoping this game would come to the US when it was originally release for the PS1. I love 2D (in this case 2.5D) handdrawn RPGs. Beats the blocky mess that is pretty much every other PSP RPG (not to say they're bad). To bad the review says that the score is bad (as I think good music really adds to any game), but I guess I'll just have to find out for myself.
Should come with a built-in blu-ray drive.
when this game caught my eye. I'm not one for card games anymore, but it looked like an interesting time-killer for $20. Didn't get it, but you never know - might go back and pick it up.
Great artstyle/presentation and fun gameplay with a good degree of customization = must buy. The PSP has been quite a pleasant surprise over the past year and I hope the trend can continue.
the genre is constantly evolving/making strides, so unlike 2D side-scrollers, shooters, some JRPGs and the like - Goldeneye isn't going to be as fun as most people remember. At least in my opinion, after breaking out the N64 and Goldeneye about 2 months ago, the game is nowhere near as fun as I remember. Still good, but I'd rather play some Halo 3 or (now) Call of Duty 4.
that Assassin's Creed will sell 20 times more copies than LBP. It really is a depressing world we live in.
could be interesting...
Lode Runner's awesome. This is an instant buy.
It's funny how RUMORS persist through trolls
once the price gets under $10K for one of these bad boys
Just because HVDs exist doesn't mean that they're marketable or practical right now. I'm sure you were already aware of this, you're just a little bitter (as you yourself mention) due to the recent Warner news.
It's like saying hydrogen fuel cell cars are going to "destroy" hybrid cars when they're not (yet). Hybrid cars are here to stay for at least a while.
which is why Wii Sports, Wii Fit and SMG (great game) are the only ones selling. That's what happens when you go extreme casual... I'll buy this game though - I think Famitsu (or Play) gave it a great review.
